The EES Library is only open on school days. The library closes on the last day of classes and reopens on the first day of the new school year.

General Information
In our library, we work every day to build a love of reading by creating a welcoming space where every student can explore stories, discover new interests, and build confidence as a reader. We aim to spark a lifelong joy for reading in each child.
Each time students come to the library on Day 3 or Day 4, we will exchange library books. Students in grades 1-5 may check out three books each week. Kindergarten students will check out two books each time they come to the library.
Students may renew any books that they are still reading. If a student forgets their library books (it happens!), they may check out one book that week. If they bring the overdue books back the next day, they may get two more books. If students have overdue books for two class periods, they will not be allowed to get new books until they return the overdue books.
This is a small way to help our students learn responsibility. If students have an overdue book, we will send slips home with titles to help you find them. To avoid overdues, we talk with students about finding a special spot at home to keep books safe. Please partner with us to help your child remember their books each week. Our Collection:
Our library here at EES is home to a vibrant collection of approximately 18,000 books, thoughtfully curated to support and inspire readers at all grade levels. The collection includes a rich balance of fiction and nonfiction, encouraging both imagination and curiosity about the world. Students can explore engaging picture books, popular graphic novels, and a wide variety of leveled readers to support developing reading skills. With something for every interest and ability, our library helps students grow into confident, enthusiastic readers and lifelong learners.
